  • World Central Kitchen

WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes to the frontlines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need. By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK provides freshly made, nutritious meals to communities impacted by disasters quickly and effectively. We know that good food provides not only nourishment, but also comfort and hope, especially in times of crisis around the world.

Pets Alive

Kerrville Pets Alive! and Austin Pets Alive! Need our help.

The Guadalupe River flood and has caused loss of life and devastation in Kerr County.  These organizations are supporting hurt and displaced pets. Their teams team are in flooded areas, providing medical care onsite and transporting animals to APA!. They are working with KPA! over the next several days and, if possible, bringing more pets from the Kerr County and other shelters. This will allow them to make space for the animals they are likely to see over the next few days and keep them closer to home.

As our children become more aware of the crisis unfolding in Kerrville, they will likely want to help. The Sunset Ridge Church children’s ministry team would like to assist caregivers in finding ways for children to participate in our communal longing for recovery—especially ways that are less scary to talk about, but still provide an opportunity for children to share love with those who are hurting.

This Sunday, we will begin collecting food and supplies for pets recovered from the flood areas.

Their top request right now is for monetary donations.
Click here to help with a monetary donation to support the rising costs of helping displaced animals. Please visit their website for updated list of items they are accepting as donations.

Your children can bring their donation to the children’s check-in area this Sunday. Alternatively, children may bring a very small monetary donation. We will ensure that all gifts are delivered.
