Now Hiring: Summer Communications Intern
Sunset Ridge Collective and Sunset Ridge Church is seeking a thoughtful, creative, and community-minded Communications Intern to join our team this summer. This role will offer hands-on experience in nonprofit storytelling, digital media, and content strategy, supporting initiatives across our unique ecosystem—including Sunset Ridge Church, Sunset Ridge Collective, Charis Park, One Another Coffee, Sprouts School, and the Sunset Ridge Farmers Market.
15-20hrs/week at $18-$20/hr
This position is ideal for someone interested in:
Gaining real-world experience in communications for a values-driven nonprofit
Learning how to craft multi-platform content strategies
Practicing photography, writing, and digital publishing in a collaborative setting
Exploring the role of storytelling in neighborhood flourishing
Commitment:
15-20 hours per week in office and on campus
June through August (exact dates flexible)
Some evening and weekend availability required for key events.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting with weekly newsletters, blog posts, and social media content
Supporting the development of post-event stories and visual recaps
Contributing to updates across our websites and digital platforms
Participating in weekly team meetings and collaborative planning sessions
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interest in storytelling, community engagement, or nonprofit work
Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, Google Drive, or basic editing tools a plus
Organized, adaptable, and willing to learn
This internship will be mentored by Mae Czarnecki, our current Storytelling and Communications Manager, who will provide training, guidance, and a robust introduction to the rhythms and values of our work.
