“The only thing that lasts forever is the love we give away.”
— Jess Lowry
Message from Jess
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.—Corinthians 13: 4-8
If love never ends, then we understand that love is the one thing that will last forever. So as we move throughout our week let’s ask these questions:
How might this be done with greater love?
How can I choose love in this interaction (not being right, resentful, or irritable, but patient and kind)?
What’s Good
God has been working in some big ways here at Charis Collective! We encourage you to read this article to get a glimpse of what is ahead for our community and the work that has led us to this place. We are so grateful to Duke Faith & Leadership for so thoughtfully capturing our collaborative partnership with Good Acres.
We raised $210 at our Waffles & Worship to go toward our Snack Pak program feeding 106 children at Camelot Elementary!

Morning:
As I move into this day
May love guide my steps
Help me to see each person as my neighbor
—as a human being worthy of love
Remind me that I am one too
That your love never fails
And that the only thing that lasts forever
is the love I leave behind.
Amen
Evening:
Thank you for this day God
for the reminder that I never walk alone
Tonight I lift up the moments that I loved well
and thank you for the courage
I lift up the moments I failed to love
and thank you for the learning
Wrap all those I carry in my heart tonight
The war-torn, the hungry, the hurting, the lonely
-in the shelter of your mighty wings
Amen
